Agroindustry

The agroindustry is an economic sector dedicated to the transformation of agricultural and livestock products. In Colombia, this sector represents 7.2% of the GDP and generates 2.5 million direct jobs.

• Chemicals and pharmaceuticals: This subsector includes the transformation of agricultural products, such as corn, into chemical and pharmaceutical products.
