The shared services sector in Colombia faces a number of challenges, such as competition from neighboring countries, the lack of qualified talent, and the need for infrastructure investment. However, the sector also has a number of opportunities, such as the growth of the Colombian economy, the expansion of the middle class, and the development of the information and communications technology (ICT) industry.
The Colombian government is promoting the development of the shared services sector through policies and programs, such as the National Development Plan 2023-2030. The National Development Plan aims to increase the participation of the shared services sector in the GDP to 2% by 2030.
