The real estate asset management sector in Colombia is a growing sector that represents an important contribution to the country's economy. In 2022, represented 2.5% of Colombia's GDP, generating more than 50,000 direct jobs.
Its most relevant subsectors are:
- Commercial property management: represents 60% of the sector's value added and includes the management of shopping centers, offices, hotels, and other commercial properties.
- Residential property management: represents 30% of the sector's value added and includes the management of apartments, houses, and other residential properties.
- Industrial property management: represents 10% of the sector's value added and includes the management of industrial plants, warehouses, and other industrial properties.
The Colombian government is promoting the development of the real estate asset management sector through policies and programs, such as the National Development Plan 2023-2030. The National Development Plan aims to increase the participation of the real estate asset management sector in the GDP to 3% by 2030.
