The healthcare sector in Colombia is a growing sector that represents an important contribution to the country's economy. In 2022, the sector represented 8.1% of Colombia's GDP, generating more than 2.5 million direct jobs.

The most relevant subsectors of the sector are:

• Healthcare: represents 59% of the sector's value added and includes activities such as hospital care, outpatient care, and home care.
• Pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical products: represents 23% of the sector's value added and includes the manufacture, distribution, and marketing of pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical products.
• Medical equipment and supplies: represents 18% of the sector's value added and includes the manufacture, distribution, and marketing of medical equipment and supplies.
